What is BUNITED?

BUNITED is an all day student diversity conference, that aims to strengthen attendees’ cultural competency by providing a forum for open dialogue, complimented by workshops that are led by knowledgeable peers and professionals, and dynamic speakers.

What is included in a ticket to the conference?

A ticket to our conference includes: breakfast, lunch, and dessert, a gift bag, access to our workshops, cultural show, and keynote address.

Where will it be held?

Most BUNITED activities, like lunch and the keynote address, will be held in Metcalf Ballroom, in Boston University’s George Sherman Union located at 775 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215. Workshops will be held next door at the College of Arts and Sciences located at 725 Commonwealth Ave.

What is the dress code?

Dress code is business casual.

Do you have to be a Boston University student to attend?

No, we welcome everyone, students and professionals, from anywhere to attend our conference!

Do I have to be a professional to lead a workshop?

No, we welcome submissions to lead workshops from people of all backgrounds! In the past, we’ve had high school students, college student organizations, and working professionals lead workshops.

How do I become a part of the planning committee?

Head over to the "Applications” tab at the top of the page, and click on the link that says “Planning Committee”. Fill out a short application, and we’ll contact you for further steps based on your qualifications.
